Health and Safety is a shared responsibility.
As a volunteer, you are expected to:
- Follow safety procedures outlined in the handbook.
- Work within your physical limits.
- Sign in and out of events.
- Notify the coordinator (or your partner/spouse or neighbour) when working independently with details of work location and expected duration and confirm when back home once work completed.
- Report any incidents, or near misses.
- Identify any hazards.
- Use appropriate PPE and tools correctly.
- Look out for yourself and others while on site.
